The Town of Winchester deserves better

Winchester residents should not be told exaggerations from a Salem resident about how their community access TV station is operated.

1)That outsider, the carpetbagger, does not live in a city or town surrounding Winchester and could care less what impacts the lives of people in Winchester and the communities Winchester interacts with.

2)The SHOCKING admission by the Executive Director (and let's be as polite as possible, what kind of imbecile puts that in writing) that he won't follow the rules and that members will be retaliated on for following the rules?

5-24-12 - David Gauthier's admission that
Complaints are NOT to be filed or else!

"If you want to be friendly with the staff, you’ll need to stop tattling on them at every turn...If you want to be a stickler for the rules and have every rule followed to the letter, then you’ll probably have more of the professional – what you call “chill” – relationship. "

The threat to whistleblowers from David Gauthier.

3)The failure of David Gauthier to address membership retention.  Gauthier fell into the TV3 Medford habit of giving percentages out.  "23 percent more members" ...so if you have four members and get another one...

Look at the pathetic list of only 4 people getting awards,
two of those members very recent.

This member had hosted/produced about 130 hours or more of programming when he won "Producer of the Year" with 2 hour shows every Friday night as well as Music Closet, studio taping of special shows and an additional show with a west coast celebrity.

That is providing content for a station a former staffer accused of having been damaged years before.

Peter Pongratz, in a board meeting, made a vicious remark about a member doing too much programming (paraphrased.)

Pongratz was intimidating a producer from being at the station too much, using too many "resources" - which means, you pay for a membership and if you actually utilize the resources and give good content, the current board and staff will bully you out.

IT IS A PRIVATE ACCESS INSIDER'S CLUB THAT THE TOWN WASN'T AWARE HAD PROBLEMS.

NOW THE TOWN KNOWS WINCAM HAS PROBLEMS, AND YOURS TRULY ISN'T THE ONLY COMPLAINANT

WinCAM President "in action" -
Melodie A. Wing's vicious retaliation against a former staffer published in the local press:

“She has had a pattern for some time of — well, I’m not going to go into it because I don’t think it’s appropriate,” (Attorney Melodie) Wing (president of WinCAM) replied.

Editorial Opinion:

If there is private information in a file, employers should keep their mouths shut and not even make hints which would lead the press to investigate further.

It is sleazy and outrageous if an employer did that to besmirch a woman after they took their job away from them and...there is additional information but - well, let's use Melodie Wing's excuse, let's not go into it because I don't think it's appropriate."

FOR SHAME!  I'm not going to drop hints; I'm filing a civil rights complaint with the AG's office, that's what I am doing.
