Working hard to bring Public Access to Winchester

Once the board of directors - headed by Attorney Melodie A. Wing and Allan J. Eyden - rid themselves of yet another pair of staffers ...a repeating pattern with that pair, they settled on an unqualified hack with absolutely no passion for Winchester, from a city far removed from Winchester.

For 12 years we have worked to improve Medford, and that meant deconstructing the conflicted board of directors and putting pressure on the Mayor.

At a public hearing on December 8, 2014,
Mayor Michael J. McGlynn responded to my question to Comcast - about cable subscribers paying money and getting NOTHING in return.

McGlynn promised to have a press conference next week announcing the new access TV station.

No one believed it possible.

No one believed we could remove Frank Pilleri, the individual who for the better part of 25 years ruled MCC like a dictator (he was removed from the presidency allegedly for 2 years allegedly for misconduct having to do with "barter bucks" and "free memberships for life" and other allegations.)

Melodie Wing has been at WinCAM quite a long time, but less than half the time Pilleri had to destroy free speech rights in Medford, while imposing his censorship.

Wing is now on Pilleri's dark path, and it isn't pretty.  It is ugly.  Winchester deserves better.

One person has the skill, the knowledge, the perseverance and the experience to make positive changes at Access television.

Winchester is now in that hellish area that Frank Pilleri's selfishness and refusal to let go resulted in the destruction of access TV in Medford.

Medford Access is going to be a beautiful thing, and there's a team of us working to make sure that it is a new and open system of communication.

Mark my words and mark them well.  Winchester will have a better access station, and if it takes me another 12 years - the same amount of time for the Medford "fiasco" (Councilor Knight's term for TV3) to be dismissed - if it takes a dozen years (which it won't) we will invest the time.

It will be easier to improve Winchester...we have the experience, we know the enemy, and we have collected lots and lots of E V I D E N C E.

More than we had in the TV3 Medford fiasco.

Winchester WILL have a new access TV station, one free from the absurdities of David Gauthier's rhetoric and cheap lip service.

stay tuned
