Dear Winchester Business:
We are asking residents,
civic groups and businesses to BOYCOTT the Winchester Public Access television
station, Winchester Community Access and Media, a.k.a. WinCAM.
Current station manager /
executive director David Gauthier is not honest with the public about the
station. It has been a merry-go-round of
hires and fires, with an entrenched board of directors that have made the
station their own “private” access station, in violation of the First Amendment
to the U.S. Constitution and the requirement that Public access stations be
open to the public.
Complaints of sexual
harassment have been alleged and brought to the attention of the Selectmen,
Town Manager Richard Howard, Winchester High School (where the alleged behavior
happened) and the police. In 2010 two
former employees sued the station while Attorney Melodie A. Wing took control
as president of the station. Gay et. al. vs Winchester Community Access and Media

CIVIL DOCKET #MICV2010-04760 There was also an application for criminal complaint filed.
Membership retention is
not addressed by the station. E.D. Gauthier gives out percentages instead of
hard numbers on memberships lost and memberships gained – along with the key
point – certification of members in computer classes and hard Winchester
programming developed by members and preserved.
Programming has been
erased; members and ex staffers abused, and the hostile environment created by
David Gauthier, Melodie Wing, Allan Eyden (on the board since 2000, where are
the term limits?) Peter Pongratz, 2 additional male staffers and an ex male
staffer, demands those individuals be removed before we lift the boycott.
WinCAM is YOUR
community resource. Why should some individual from Salem, Massachusetts be
running around yelling WinCAM is for Winchester when he doesn’t give a damn
about this community.
Contact the Selectmen
and Town Manager if you have a grievance about the 501c3 non-profit, WinCAM.
